30 Days of Light is a 30-day challenge that I am extending to myself, and everyone reading this. Each day, we should try to develop an awareness to complete the challenge and thereby illuminate the world a little bit at a time. I would love to hear about your experiences attempting and/or completing the challenges, and any suggestions. Of course, these challenges could and should be practised more than once. Day 1
Give a genuine thank you to someone for something you appreciate, but may not have previously expressed.
Day 2
Give a genuine apology to someone you wronged, even in the slightest. Tell them what you’re going to do to improve.
Day 3
Reach out to a friend that you haven’t spoken to in a while.
Day 4
Reach out to a family member that you haven’t spoken to in a while.
Day 5
Write down a character trait that you want to work on.
Day 6
Make a donation to a charity or cause you believe in.
Day 7
Spend at least 20 minutes doing a form of exercise of your choice.
Day 8
Go a day without social media. Be present in each and every interaction.
Day 9
Write down 10 things you are grateful for.
Day 10
Reflect on a time where something that seemed bad at first turned into something good.
Day 11
Spend a few minutes writing down a SMART goal.
Day 12
Start journaling before bed, when you wake up, or both.
Day 13
Post a sticky note on your bathroom mirror with a Microscopic Goal
